First at Little Background

When Bell is not wanting to do something, her way of trying to get around it is telling us she is tired or more importantly whatever body part is tired.  You tell her to clean her room, she will tell you that her legs are asleep or tired.  You want her to pick something up, she will tell you that her arms are tired.  Well, you get the picture.  She will also have a tendency to yell wake up at said body part that is "asleep".

This brings us to yesterday.  Her Sunday school teacher finds me after Sunday school to share a little Bellaism.  She asked all of the boys and girls to tell their name.  Then she gets to Bell.  Bell can't just tell them her name.  Oh NO!  We can't have that.  She tells Mrs. Staci that she is to tired to tell everybody her name.  She never would tell her name, and she never shut up.  The girl likes to talk.

How the Mind of a Four Year Old Thinks About Listening

Bella is only 35 days away from being the big number 5.  She is a little spitfire (read stinker), and most days I'm telling her no, stop, and get out of that so much I should just use a recorder.  Sunday as we are leaving the movies, I look at her as she is using the four foot concrete fence as a tight rope and tell her to get down.  She does listen and jumps off as I'm walking back towards her to get onto her if she wasn't going to do as she was told.  It is at this point, as her and I are walking to the van, that I tell her that she needs to start listening better, or she is going to get into trouble.  She looks straight at me and says that she will start listen when she turns 5.  Hurry up 35 days and go quickly, so that Bella will start listening better.  I couldn't help but laugh.  Here is hoping and praying that she keeps her word and starts listening better in 35 more days.

Bellaism Number 1

A few days ago Bell-Bell decided that she wanted an egg to eat for supper.  She asked me if she could carry around her egg.  She was extra careful with it, and then she disappeared.  She comes down the stairs without her egg and this is the conversation that ensued between her and me.

Me: Where is your egg?
Bell:  It is broke.
Me:  Where is it broke at?
Bell:  In Ty's room.
Me:  How did you break it?
Bell:  I sat on it.
Me:  Why did you sit on it?
Bell:  I wanted to see if it would hatch.

Lots of laughter came after that, and she did clean up her egg mess very well.

What is a Bellaism?

Just what is a Bellaism.  A Bellaism is either an action or saying that our four year old Bell-Bell comes up with.  You never know what she is going to say or do.  I have been asked numerous times if I have kept track of just exactly what she does, and I have posted everything to Facebook.  I decided today that I want to expand the scope of who sees our Bellaisms, so I decided to start a blog to share them with the world.  I hope that you enjoy them as much as we do.

Here is a picture of one of the things that this child comes up with.
She is washing her feet.
